The registration page for the GEAR UP Student Leadership Event is now up and running. Please register your selected students no later than Friday, June 1st at http://gearup.ous.edu/events/register/30.

This year’s GEAR UP Student Leadership Events will be held August 13-17, 2012 at the University of Oregon. There will be three sessions, all facilitated by Gear Up for Excellence:
  • August 13- 15 OR August 15- 17: For students currently in 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th grade who have not attended this event in past years. Choose one of the two identical sessions
  • August 13-15: For students currently in 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th grade who have attended this event in prior years.
Each cluster is invited to register up to 15 students for a “new student” session and up to 15 students for the “returning student” session. You may also register an additional 15 students in the alternates section of the registration page. If we do not fill the event with the initial registration, students from the alternate lists will be admitted.  To assist in your selection process, we suggest asking interested students to write a 100 word essay to turn in to their GEAR UP coordinator. Suggestions for essay prompts can be found in the Q&A.

All students will need a signed photo release from a parent/guardian to be brought to the camp.
