Camp Odyssey

Camp Odyssey is an exciting program for your high school students! It was created several years ago as a way to help students explore diversity and multiculturalism and has been reinvigorated after a few years. It will be held June 17-23 at the 4-H Center in Salem. Beyond the weeklong event during the summer, students will be engaged throughout the school year on projects designed to bring about greater appreciation for our diverse world.

The organizers have partnered with Oregon GEAR UP to ensure that students from rural Oregon make up at least half of those in attendance! But we need your help! This is a great opportunity for students to explore issues of diversity and inclusion and what it means to be a global citizen. They’d like to have students attend the camp with someone else from their communities wherever possible. Camp organizers and facilitators also follow up with students throughout the course of the year so this is a unique opportunity for us. Please provide the application to students who you think might enjoy and benefit from this experience.

IMPORTANT: Ford schools only - Please submit applications to Stephanie Carnahan, PO Box 3175, Eugene, OR 97403. Slots are being held for our students but only for a short while. Please return completed applications by the end of April if at all possible.
