APR Survey Info - FEDERAL schools only

Thank you to everyone who has logged into the APR survey and started entering data. The FAQ has answers to questions about course completion, unexcused absences, etc. If you have any other questions, please contact Natalie. The survey is due March 23.

Note on course completion: The course completion section of the survey now has a column for 6th grade (MS and 7-12 school surveys) and 8th grade (HS surveys). Please review the instructions for entering the course completion data, as the APR reporting period (4/1/11-3/31/12) is different than the school year. Many current students likely completed courses at the end of the previous school year, especially year-long courses.

How do I calculate course completion numbers?

  • We are looking at the current 7th - 10th graders, and seeing whether they completed these courses between April 1, 2011 and March 31, 2012.
  • Put the number of students in the grade they were in when they completed it. If a current 7th grader completed Pre-Algebra in June 2011 (while they were in 6th grade), you’d put the number in the 6th grade row. If they completed it in January 2012 (while they were in 7th grade), you’d put it in the 7th grade row.
  • If the class is year-long, they must complete the entire course, not just one term/semester. At the HS level “successfully completing a course” means getting a D or better.
